Our delectable new gourmand fragrance featuring tonka bean absolute is a delicately nuanced celebration of epicurean delights. Tonka Chic’s rarified ingredients and subtle complexity create a sophisticated olfactive impression of pleasure and ease.

Its ethereal opening is fresh and dewy, like a spring shower filtered through a cherry blossom tree. Notes of almond, neroli, rosewood and spearmint float serenely on the air, anchored by lavender and exalted by citrus. 

The luscious heart of the fragrance soon reveals itself. Minty geranium fuses with melon and cinnamon, and they dance into the warm embrace of rose. Sumptuous caramel and vanilla mingle with jasmine and honeyed apricots. Sensual cognac frolics with spicy nutmeg and mysterious myrrh.

I have a friend — Susie is her name — who’s a fabulous storyteller. Incredibly imaginative and perceptive, she has a way of painting pictures with her words that I find very inspiring. And she herself is an inspiration — always kind and gracious, full of warmth and good humor.

I tell stories too, through the medium of scent. And so it is that Tonka Chic is one of Susie’s stories, translated to a perfume. It’s based on a story she told me about some of her favorite things — posh French pâtisseries, roses and jasmine in bloom, almonds and apricots and the best vanilla, cooking a feast for friends, reading on the veranda while the sun goes down.

To me, these things speak of luxury, refinement and a love for the good things in life. In creating Tonka Chic, I aimed to present Susie’s story as a sophisticated olfactive impression of pleasure and ease. — Claudia
